How to re-authenticate Facebook or Instagram

If you experience posts that fail to deliver, most often, it's because the token used to post on your Facebook/Instagram account has been expired or invalidated.

This can happen for a number of reasons: For instance, if you change your password or Facebook detects suspecious activity from your account.

In most cases, this is easily solved directly from FeedHive.

  • Go to the Socials (opens in a new tab) page
  • Find your Facebook page, group or Instagram page
  • Click the little "..." button
  • Click Re-authenticate

How to verify permissions

Another common reason for failing posts, is missing permissions.

If FeedHive needs new permissions, or you've previously declined certain permissions, you'll need to add/approve them.

  • Log in to the Facebook profile that is the admin of the group or page.
  • Select Settings & privacy > Settings from the small drop down arrow at the upper right on your screen.
Then, on the left-hand side, click Business integrations.
  • From the list of authenticated apps, find FeedHive.io, and click View and edit.
  • Scroll through the list and make sure all permissions are selected.
We do not ask for any permissions that are not strictly necessary for FeedHive to work, so you can be certain that all permissions are needed.

How to add new pages / groups

In some cases, you may need to add new pages or groups to your account.
Perhaps you have created a new page or group, since you autenticated with Facebook the first time.

In this case, simply follow the steps from the How to verify permissions section above.

Make sure all permissions are given for all pages, groups and Instagram accounts you want to manage with FeedHive.
